Coach Gernot Rohr has demanded a pre world cup international friendly match for the Super Eagles in Abuja before they fly out to Russia for the 2018 world cup.

Rohr noted that the purpose of the match would be to show Nigerian fans his 23 man list for the world cup, before they storm Russia for the world cup.

“I have told the NFF president to get us a friendly match to be played in Abuja to show them the 23 players selected for the World Cup and to say goodbye before leaving for Russia,” Rohr said.

He said he expects his team to play quality friendlies in the FIFA windows of November, March and May that will adequately prepare them for the Mundial.

He also said he expects the team to begin their World Cup training camp in Abuja.

The World Cup draw will be staged on December 1 in Russia and the 2018 World Cup will be from June 14 to July 15.
